Three to fill the shoes of two at UPS
UPS has announced several changes in top management. (11/14/2003)
Thomas Weidemeyer, chief operating officer and president of UPS Airlines, and Joseph Moderow, general counsel, corporate secretary and head of global public affairs and public relations, have both announced their retirements, effect at the end of the year.
Both serve on the UPS Board of Directors as well as the UPS Management Committee.
Succeeding Weidemeyer as chief operating officer and president of UPS Airlines is 52-year-old John Beystehner, currently senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.
Moderow will be replaced by Allen Hill (48) as general counsel and corporate secretary, and Kurt Kuehn (49) as senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.
Hill is currently vice president heading the company's legal department, and Kuehn is currently vice president in charge of investor relations. Both were elected senior vice presidents by the UPS Board and will become the newest members of the UPS Management Committee effective January 1, 2004.
