In regards to: Container Chassis with the prefix of UPSC and FSTZ.
Yes! I have experienced some very disturbing problems when I am pulling the combination of the standard drop bottom UPS trailer, along with a chassis with a prefix of UPSC and or FSTZ This problems occurs when the brakes are applied, it takes just a second or two before you can feel them take hold. When they do take hold it's all of a sudden and harder then usual. When pulling a combination of trailers waiting the second or two may be just to long. After taking my foot off the brake pedal the brakes are still being applied, even harder and longer then expected.
I do understand that there was testing done on the dangerous combination, on the 25th of January of 2000, at the CACH facility, with UPS calling it inconclusive. The people from Bendix agreed to send a letter with the results with in five (5) to ten (10) days after all the data was compiled into a report as of yet I have heard nothing. I also understand that C has had a meeting on the matter and has not release any finding. I am urging Corporate Automotive Department to post the results and data from Bendix and their recommendation to solve these problems.
Respectfully,
Feeder Driver
Your BRAKES, Your LIFE, Your JOB, And Your FAMILY
***What makes your truck stop before you pile into the rear end of the vehicle in front of you ???
Your Brakes !!!! And they better be working correctly !!!!
***What happens if your brakes on your truck aren't working correctly ????
Your LIFE can depend on them brakes working correctly !!!!!!
***What happens when you can't stop in time or they grab too much too fast and cause the trailers to jack-knife ????
Your JOB !!!! And your family depends on you having the great job you have.
***What if the brakes don't work or over work, and its not in your favor ??????
Your FAMILY just might MISS you at the dinner table, or MISS your smile, or just plainly MISS all of you.
Just because UPS Corporate Automotive Department has made a posting, and haven't done anything yet. You are responsible for the equipment you drive and the LIFES around you when you are behind the wheel of that truck. Sure you can put your life in the hands of others. But, do you really trust what is going on ????

And to date 26 July 2000, there has not been a proper response to the PROBLEM. They are looking in to it still
The mechanics have been shown and seen the PROBLEM But yet you are still driving the equipment, putting your life and others around you in JEPERDY.
Now I don't know about you personally. But I know I would want the brakes certified and fixed before I put my life in one of those trucks.
Just think if the NEWS and the PUBLIC catch wind of the UPS FEEDER Rigs having brake PROBLEMS (not only in one city/town but in the NATION). Just think of the law suites not only for UPS but also for the Driver of a KNOWN FAULTY BRAKE SYSTEM.
Its up to you and your IBT, Brothers and Sisters and their families.
A little lower on this page there is a letter you can "PRINT" out and send it to Jerry DiSiullo at the address above and also on the form letter.
SPRED THE WORD "PRINT' a few for your Brothers and Sisters...
Brakes on any vehicle are one of the most IMPORTANT pieces of equipment on any moving object. If the brakes on your family car don't work, what would you do? Would you go in and talk it over with your significant other if the brakes should get fixed ???? You would bring your car into the shop to get fixed, NOW !!!!! Not AFTER the accident If your significant other/family members/Sons/Daughters/Good Friend . Came in after driving the car and said, "Dad (your name), the brakes on the car don't feel right what should I do about them ????
The ONLY way this problem is going to get FIXED is if the Brothers and Sisters Mail in the LETTER Don't wait until you read about a FATEL accident happen.
The Letter is an actual experiance from a driver. And the DRIVER is concerned for The Brothers ans Sisters out there, NATION WIDE.
LIFE is more Valued then the Danger that your sitting on !!!!!
